#Coachedout with National Express

May 25, 2019

As an avid day trip traveller I always rely on National Express services to get me to and from the airport (London Stansted to be exact) without compromising on comfort and value for money. Trade the pricey train ride for a coach with leather seats, air con, charging ports and Wi-Fi to keep you occupied.

Enroute to the Airport

Fancy a city break to Glasgow or taking a dip in the thermal waters in Bath without spending a fortune? With over 900 destinations and tickets starting at £5 one way (plus booking fee) National Express is the largest coach operator in the UK and makes exploring the UK by coach a whole lot sexier 😉

Booking your tickets couldn’t be smooth. The easy to navigate online booking system allows you to input your destination or use the “our stop finder” option designed to help you find the closest National Express stops across the country. Undecided of where to go? Click the low fare finder button and escape for less-save those coins!!

Once your booking is confirmed an email with a e-ticket is sent to your inbox which you can print off or show the driver via your smartphone.

Though your seat is guaranteed but not allocated (hooray) beat the queues and avoid the peak times by booking an early coach. A major tip, the front row seats have a ton of leg room but get on the coach first in order to snug these seats.

A toilet is also located at the rear of the coach though I have not used it the thought is reassuring. Before setting off on our journey, the driver enforces a few safety instructions: fasten your searbelts.

My coach left from Stratford Westfield at 06:10am and it only took 45-50mins to reach the airport. This round the clock, hassle free service to the airport plus the cheap fares I see no reason why anyone wouldn’t consider using National Express. Discounted perks for those under the age of 26 via the coachcard are also available.

Have you travelled with National Express before? Share your experience.

NB: Though this was a sponsored post and National Express paid for travel to review my experience on this occassion- I have always used their services and will continue due to convenience.
